ENGLISH SADDLE FITTING

Kate Wilson is a Society of Master Saddlers Qualified Saddle Fitter traveling throughout the New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania regional area.

When it comes to saddle fitting, we believe a hands-on, on-site approach is best. We travel to your farm or boarding facility in a box truck equipped with a workbench for on-site saddle adjustments and an extensive selection of demo and used saddles from a variety of makers for you to try. As an independent shop, we work with all brands and are happy to evaluate the fit of any saddle.

APPOINTMENT BASICS:

  • Every appointment includes an evaluation of your current saddle or selecting a new/used saddle
  • Inclusive stable call fee: evaluation of one horse per person, mileage/travel costs, tracings, exploring other saddle options
  • Stable call fees are calculated by distance and the number of clients
  • Pricing available for owners with multiple horses, lesson and therapy programs and groups
  • Pricing based on the horse - not the number of saddles evaluated
  • On-site saddle adjustments include spot flocking and gullet plate changes (not all saddle adjustments can be done on-site)
  • Evaluation of multiple saddles from multiple sources is welcome
  • Travel area includes all of New Jersey, the New York Hudson Valley area to Saratoga, Southern Tier/Central NY to Rochester, western to central Connecticut and the southwestern corner of Massachusetts - travel NOT offered to Long Island, Buffalo, western/central Pennsylvania, Boston
  • For distances over 2 to 2.5 hours, a barn group (multiple clients in one barn) or a regional group (more than one barn within one hour drive) will be required
  • Add-ons are not accommodated - all appointments are booked in advance for timing purposes

The STABLE CALL FEE Table is an approximate cost for certain distances. Tolls and other travel fees may be added based on travel route and distance. For distances beyond 2.5 hours, hotel costs will be added.
